Lisa Pirak is the ROTC Adviser and Recruiting Officer at Seattle University with 20+ years of experience in military leadership and student mentorship.
Biography
Lisa Pirak serves as the Adviser and Recruiting Operations Officer for the Army ROTC program and also supports the University of Washington’s Department of Military Science in the same capacity. She brings over two decades of experience in military leadership, personnel management, and student mentorship. Lisa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the UW Foster School of Business and a Master of Arts in Human Resources Management from Webster University. She commissioned through the UW Army ROTC program and served eight years on active duty in the U.S. Army’s Adjutant General’s Corps, with notable assignments in the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), the 2nd Infantry Division in South Korea, and as an Assistant Professor of Military Science at UW.
After transitioning from active duty, Lisa continued serving in UW Army ROTC, initially as the Human Resources Assistant before becoming the ROTC Adviser and Recruiting Operations Officer in 2013. She was named the 2018 Recruiting Operations Officer of the Year, a reflection of her commitment to advising and mentoring future Army leaders.
Outside of work, Lisa enjoys fitness, reading and traveling with her husband of 24 years and their children.
