Biography
Professor Brosnan is an Attorney, admitted to the English Bar as well as the Washington Bar, with many years of international business and legal experience. As a senior corporate counsel for a major multinational company, she was involved in projects in more than 85 countries around the world. Mosof the time she was working on overseas assignments away from her office in London, and developed extensive experience in international business transactions. Since moving to the States Professor Brosnan has taught undergraduate and graduate programs in global and international business environments, international law, international trade, business law, cross-cultural management and ethics. She developed, designed and wrote web-based and classroom format curriculum materials for online and classroom programs in the United States and overseas.
Prior to teaching Professor Brosnan worked for Perkins Coie energy group where she advised on transactions for energy, technology and commercial aviation clients. Professor Brosnan was also Deputy Director, Corporate Governance Project at the University of Washington School of Law where she taught a JD research and writing seminar class on Eastern European corporate governance laws. Professor Brosnan currently works as a business consultant, working with non-profit organizations in the US and on various international projects.
Professor Brosnan has a Bachelors degree in Law and Economics from the University of Keele, a Law Degree from the Inns of Court School of Law, a Master of Laws degree from the University of Washington, a Graduate Certificate, also from the University of Washington and an MBA from City University of Seattle. She is an alumni Fellow of the World Affairs Council.
