Suicide & Crisis Prevention

Suicide can be prevented. While some suicides occur without any outward warning, most do not, and there are people and resources to help. If you are having thoughts of harm to yourself or others, contact the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline by call or text to 9-8-8, or call Crisis Connections at 866-427-4747.

Whether you are experiencing a mental health crisis yourself or you are a friend a loved one of someone considering suicide, this page offers assistance through a collection of crisis resources and information. CAPS also offers Urgent Care on Mondays through Fridays, from 11am - 1pm. Urgent Care hours are a time for students to briefly speak with a therapist and identify next steps in your mental healthcare. This is particularly helpful if you are in psychological distress, or are considering harm to yourself or others.
