Alumni Awards Return

Join the campus community in honoring remarkable individuals who are change-makers.

For one special night, the Seattle University Alumni Association will recognize five individuals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, service to the university and community, a commitment to care, academic excellence, diversity, justice and an alignment with our Jesuit values. 

Additionally, two exceptional individuals will be inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame as recognition for their legendary impact on Seattle U Athletics. All of this will take place at the 36th Annual Alumni Awards, February 10, 5:30–9 p.m. at PACCAR Atrium and Pigott Auditorium. Here’s more on this year’s recipients:

Alumni Award Winners

Ana White, ’95, College of Science and Engineering

For her outstanding professional achievements, and for embodying the mission and Jesuit values of Seattle University, Ana White has been chosen to receive the SUAA’s highest honor as Alumna of the Year. 

Archie Roundtree, Jr., ’18 JD, School of Law

For having achieved so much in the years since he graduated, Archie Roundtree is the recipient of the Outstanding Recent Alumnus Award.

Mary Ann Goto, ’79, College of Arts and Sciences

For her deep commitment to community, and for living out Seattle University’s Jesuit values, Mary Ann Goto will receive the University Service Award.

Rolita Flores Ezeonu, ’06 EdD, College of Education

Having dedicated her career to strengthening educational institutions and the communities that surround them, Dr. Rolita Flores Ezeonu is well-deserving of the Professional Achievement Award.

Tom Roach, ’71, College of Arts and Sciences

For his recent work with Ukrainian refugees, and for a lifetime of serving communities in need, Tom Roach is the recipient of the Community Service Award.

Athletic Hall of Fame Inductees

Stephanie Verdoia, ’15, Women’s Soccer

The most decorated player in program history, Stephanie Verdoia was an All-American, Academic All-American and the first female SU athlete drafted by a United States pro league.

Kyle Bjornethun, ’21, Men's Soccer

Kyle Bjornethun was drafted by Seattle Sounders FC following a Redhawk career that included four conference titles, two NCAA Tournament wins, All-conference, All-region and All-American honors.
