Quarterly Involvement Fair offers opportunities to discover on-campus communities that inspire and events that excite.

Seattle University’s recent Winter Involvement Fair was a vibrant showcase of the university’s dynamic student life, featuring more than 100 clubs and something for everyone. Students weaved through rows of colorful booths, each representing a unique slice of university life. This quarterly tradition offers students the chance to pursue new interests, form meaningful connections and find their own place within the SU community through clubs and activities.

As Helen Keller once said, “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much,” a sentiment the Involvement Fair embodies by bringing together diverse clubs and students, fostering a sense of belonging and collaboration that defines the SU experience.

“We help those who don’t already have a community to find one,” says Mireya Gomez, ’25 (Psychology), who helps organize the fairs, encapsulating the Involvement Fair’s spirit of inclusivity and connection.

Seattle University’s clubs and organizations are a gateway to enhancing the college journey. With a variety of student-run groups and participating campus departments, the Involvement Fair makes possible for students to explore opportunities in professional development, cultural appreciation, creative pursuits and athletics. Whether you’re interested in joining academic societies, engaging in social justice initiatives or simply what to have fun with like-minded peers, there’s a club for you.

Here are a few showcased at the Involvement Fair:

Women in Business (WIB)
An inclusive club that welcomes all students, Women in Business offers more than just professional development. Having attended their events, I found they provide a supportive environment where students can build relationships, connect with peers and navigate often intimidating aspects of college life. From bonding nights and game sessions to collaborations with other universities, WIB creates opportunities that are both enriching and fun. Their Winter Social Kick-off event  promises to be a highlight of the quarter. Additionally, the Leadership Panel & Networking Event on Friday, February 7, 4-6 p.m., in Sinegal Center Room 110, will feature local female business leaders sharing insights on leadership and career success.

Esports
Whether you’re into competitive gaming or just looking for a casual night of fun, Esports—one of the university’s most popular clubs—has something for everyone. Weekly game nights, themed tournaments and trivia events with prizes make this club a hub for gaming enthusiasts. This quarter Esports is planning a Valentine’s 2v2 tournament, a Pokémon trivia night and many more fun events.

SU JSA (Seattle University Japanese Student Association)
The SU Japanese Student Association offers a window into Japanese culture and traditions. With weekly meetings and its highly anticipated Obon cultural event in April, featuring traditional goods, food and activities that honor loved ones who have passed, the JSA is an inclusive group for anyone eager to learn about the culture and connect.

The Involvement Fair is the perfect place to find your community. Watch for the next one, happening in spring (stay up-to-date through ConnectSU).
