Academic Safety partners with the SU students, faculty and staff to identify hazards and reduce risk in research and teaching activities
Safety Commitment
Seattle University is committed to promoting a safe and healthy environment that supports the growth and achievement of university community members. Academic Safety partners with laboratories, academic shops, fine arts studios, performing arts venues and other teaching and research activities across campus to develop and implement programs and tools in service of campus health and safety.

Additional safety program information, including safety policies, standard operating procedure templates and guidance on specific topics, is available for SU community members through the Redhawk Hub.
Incident Reporting
After an accident, incident or injury, submit a report describing what happened.
Safety Management
Seattle University uses CampusOptics to track chemical inventory, safety equipment and other key components of safety management. All community members can access CampusOptics through SSO.
Safety Data Sheets
Safety data sheets (SDS) are available for hazardous materials on campus through the public access database.
