Mechanical engineering clubs provide opportunities to participate in competitions, attend social events, work with others to solve social problems and more.

Student Clubs

  • Mechanical Engineering Club: The Mechanical Engineering Club is bringing students together, building gadgets and having fun.
  • Aerospace Club: The Aerospace Club is an active and vibrant group bringing in industry experts, organizing tours, and providing resources and support to students interested in a career in aerospace.
  • Robotics Club: The Robotics Club is a place where both experienced and inexperienced students can come together to share their love of robotics. Robotics is a rapidly developing industry and has numerous applications in the professional world. The club welcomes both experienced students and those who are new to it by focusing on a project as a club.
  • 3-D Printing Club (3DPC): The 3DPC was founded with the goal of bringing the technology of 3D printing to Seattle students.
  • Engineering for a Sustainable World: Engineers for a Sustainable World offers all engineering, science and all interested students the opportunity to collaborate on sustainable design projects in the local community and abroad. In addition to working on student-initiated projects, they also have guest speakers and go to events as a group to learn more about sustainable initiatives in Seattle and all around the world.
  • National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE): NSBE’s mission is to increase the number of culturally responsible black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally and positively impact the community. With more than 500 chapters and nearly 16,000 active members in the U.S. and abroad, the NSBE is one of the largest student-governed organizations based in the United States.
  • Society of Women Engineers (SWE): Seattle University’s SWE Student Chapter is a club that aims to foster women’s passion in engineering. They provide a community and unique opportunities that allow for professional development in our respective disciplines and hope to encourage more women to pursue study and careers in engineering. This club is not limited to just female members; it is open to all who support women in the industry.
  • Tau Beta Pi (ΤΒΠ): Tau Beta Pi is the Engineering Honors Society and was founded in 1885 to mark, in a fitting manner, those who have conferred honor upon their alma mater by distinguished scholarship and exemplary character as undergraduates in engineering or by their attainments as alumni in the field of engineering. ΤΒΠ also fosters a spirit of liberal culture in engineering colleges. It is the only engineering honor society representing the entire engineering profession. Membership in ΤΒΠ is by invitation from our collegiate chapters. Undergraduate students must be in the top eighth of the junior class or the top fifth of the senior class to be eligible.
