The example below assumes that you enter Seattle University with junior standing (90 credits), have earned a transferable associate degree, and have successfully completed an equivalent to the following:

  • A full year of Calculus, Multivariable Calculus, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, & Advanced Math

Curriculum Notes

  • Cognate electives include Computer Science, Economics, and/or Natural Science approved by advisor. Must include at least one Computer Science Applications or Programming course.
  • MATH 4990 – Undergraduate Research (1-5) will be waved for students completing NSF REU experience, senior design project or other approved research project.
  • MATH 3000 level options: MATH 3411 – Probability (5), MATH 3430 – Complex Variables (5), MATH 3440 – Nonlinear Systems & Modeling, MATH 3450 – Numerical Methods (5), MATH 4440 – Applied Fourier Analysis (5)
  • Up to 5 credits of Undergraduate Research or Directed Research may count as Math Electives
