Support Washington State Financial Aid Restoration for In-State Students

The Washington State Senate has scheduled a hearing for this Thursday, Jan. 15, on legislation to restore aid that was reduced for in-state students attending a private, nonprofit university in Washington. Help hold the Legislature to its promise to increase college access for in-state students from low-income families.

Deadline: Thursday, January 15, 2026, at noon

  1. Click the Senate Committee Sign In page.
  2. Under Select agenda item, click on SB 5828 College scholarships/private.
  3. Under Select type of testimony, click on I would like my position noted for the legislative record. (Registration closes 1 hour before the start time of the hearing.)
  4. Complete the required fields:
    • Select "Pro" for your position.
    • Optional: Identify yourself as a student, alum, faculty or staff in the Organization box.
    • Click I'm not a robot, then click Submit Registration.
