2021 Albers Ethics Week Keynotes Examine COVID-19 and the Future of Responsible Business

Albers Ethics Week, a cornerstone event at the Albers School of Business and Economics, will take place virtually in mid-May. The annual event is organized by the .

From May 10th to the 14th, invited guest speakers will visit over 60 Albers classes to talk about ethical issues in areas ranging from accounting to human resource management. 

Virtual keynote talks are open to the public. This year's speakers will delve into COVID-19 and the Future of Responsible Business. 

Bioethicist, former National Institutes of Health Fellow, and Novack Professor in Ethical Leadership at Claremont McKenna College Alex Rajczi headlines the first keynote on May 11th, 4 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. Racjzi will discuss the pandemic's lessons for health care management in times of scarcity as well as the future of national policy.

The second keynote on May 13th at 4 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. will be delivered by Santa Clara University Professor Michael Santoro. He will explore the tension between pharmaceutical innovation and access to medicine as as how the COVID-19 pandemic will impact the future of drug development and public-private partnerships.
