Biography
Terry Foster is a lawyer, educator, administrator, and experienced corporate director. He is the former assistant dean of the Albers School of Business and Economics at Seattle University. As a member of the faculty, he teaches classes in Business Law and Negotiations. He has published articles in such publications as Negotiation Journal of the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School, The Journal of Dispute Resolution of the Center for the Study of Dispute Resolution at the University of Missouri School of Law, and the Journal of Law, Business & Ethics. He has made presentations on best practices in assurance of learning (assessment) to the AACSB's Continuous Improvement Conference and the Deans Conference.
Professor Foster is a former member of the Board of Directors of a building materials manufacturing corporation located in the Northwest. He previously has held the position of director of Continuing Legal Education for the Washington State Bar Association, and was the director of National Institutes for the American Bar Association in Chicago. He has practiced law in the areas of business formation, dispute resolution and commercial litigation. Professor Foster is the founder of the Washington Law Institute, a continuing legal education provider and publisher of law practice guides. He is an active member of the Washington State Bar Association.
