Biography
I am a historian of medieval Europe with specializations in women, gender, and sexuality. My research and publishing has focused on queens, queenship, and power in the Spanish realms. I have published three monographs and three collectiones: Catherine of Aragon: Infanta of Spain, Queen of England (2021), Elite and Royal Households in Medieval and Early Modern Europe (2018), Queenship in Medieval Europe (2013), Women and Wealth in Late Medieval Europe (2010), The King’s Other Body: María of Castile and the Crown of Aragon (2009), and Queenship and Political Power in Medieval and Early Modern Spain (2005). I am currently at work on a new edition of Queenship in Medieval Europe and a new book on the lifelong friendship of Catherine of Aragon and Marguerite of Austria.
