Andre Yandl

Professor Emeritus Mathematics

Years Teaching at Seattle University: 1966-2012

In 1963 Andre Yandl was awarded an NSF Faculty Fellowship which enabled him to complete his Ph.D. at the University of Washington. After a year at Western Washington University, he returned to SU in 1966 to become the chair of the department. Currently, Andre lives in North Seattle with his wife of many years, Shirley. The Yandls hosted many a Math Club gathering over the years, which included lively ping pong matches. They have three sons who live in the area with their families. Their son Chris met his wife at SU.
