Redhawks Give: Support SU Students

Redhawks Give

Seattle University is excited to announce Redhawks Give, a crowdfunding program designed to meet the urgent and project-based needs of our student population. This inaugural campaign, which is currently underway, helps ensure that students in need have access to nutritious meals at no cost. Donors can also provide direct financial assistance to students gaining crucial professional development through low-paying and unpaid internships through the Internship Assistance Fund.

Why it matters:

  • Internship experience is integral for job applications and networking, but unpaid internships create a financial barrier for students who need income. The Internship Assistance Fund will provide up to seven grants to students participating in unpaid internships in the next academic year.
  • With the support of the Food Security Initiative, the SU Food Pantry can distribute food to students based on household size, expand offerings to cover dietary needs and personal care items and sustain the wages of student workers.

The big picture: With Redhawks Give, the SU community will have the opportunity to help meet student needs that go beyond the “traditional” academic experience.
