Watch the Center for Ecumenical and Interreligious Engagement’s November Message.

CEIE Advisory Council Member Rose Hesselbrock talks about the importance of the Jesuit Congregation 34 Decree on Ecumenism in relation to the legacy and future of our focus at the Center. In addition, she shares the medley of CEIE-sponsored events to look forward to in the month of November and in the months ahead (Jesuit Congregation 34: Decree on Ecumenism).

Referring to the Jesuit “Decree on Ecumenism,” she says, “Ecumenism seeks what unites rather than what divides - seeks understanding, rather than confrontation. This is the legacy and future of our focus at the Center.”

Rose Hesselbrock is lay presider, pastoral council member and member of the Social Justice Commission at St. Therese Catholic Church in Seattle. She graduated from the School of Theology and Ministry at Seattle University in 2022 with an MA in Theology.
