Welcome to The Center for Ecumenical and Interreligious Engagement at Seattle University!

CEIE is rooted in a Jesuit, Catholic commitment to ecumenical and interreligious engagement, spiritual and indigenous pathways, and to cultural wisdom.  Students, alumni, faculty, and partners from the university and within these communities serve on CEIE advisory councils.

Jesuit institutions of higher education aim to educate individuals and “transform cultures and societies” (GC 36, D1, n.34). We 'educate persons of integrity who will take up responsibility for themselves, for others, and for the earth that we all inhabit to make the world a better place.'
