Catholic School Special Tuition Grant
Full-time Catholic school teachers and principals under the Archdiocese of Seattle can receive a 50% tuition grant for eligible graduate education programs at Seattle University.
Eligible full-time religious and lay teachers and principals of Catholic schools under the auspices of the Archdiocese of Seattle may apply for this grant provided they are matriculated in an eligible graduate degree program in the College of Education at Seattle University. Eligible programs include:
- Master of Education in Transformational Teaching and Learning
- Clinical Mental Health Counseling (online included)
- School Counseling (online included)
- School Psychology
- Student Development Administration
Masters in teaching (MIT) and Doctor of Education (EdD) students are not eligible. Individuals employed at Catholic schools who are on a leave of absence or working part-time are not eligible.
The grant is for one academic year and can be renewed each year as long as eligibility continues to be met. The grant is a discount offered by Seattle University which pays half of regular tuition for eligible graduate education courses. The student is responsible for the remainder of the charges. The grant cannot be combined with other scholarships, awards or discounts provided by the university.
The application for this grant becomes available in May preceding the upcoming academic year. The grant is not retroactive. The grant will not be awarded for courses taken before matriculation into an eligible program or for courses taken prior to the application submission. Learn more through Student Financial Services.
Catholic School Teacher and Principal Tuition Grant Application
