All-College Student Awards

Congratulations to the recipients of the 2026 College of Arts and Sciences student awards!

UNDERGRADUATE AWARDS

Richard P. Hickey Award  

  • Mariam Gohar, BA Political Science & French (both degrees with Departmental Honors), and a double minor in Middle Eastern Studies and African & African American Studies
    • Mariam has already started working with the World Affairs Council in Seattle as part of the Global Leadership Exchange Program. She is excited to apply all she has learned at Seattle University to help connect communities around critical global issues and advance international dialogue and peacebuilding.

Fr. William Le Roux, SJ Leadership Award 

  • Naho Umitani, BA Economics & Public Affairs 
    • This summer, Naho will begin an internship in Washington D.C. with the Council of State Governments through the Harry S. Truman Foundation. She will then move to Sacramento, California, for an 11-month fellowship with the California State Legislature, where she will be serving on a State Senator’s legislative team. She hopes to pursue a career in public service, giving back to the community that raised her.
