The business of drug access and affordability is a priority within Lifesciences. My work focuses on population health and value-based scientific evidence as a foundation for access decision-making.

Company Description

Soleno Therapeutics is focused on researching, developing and the commercialization of novel therapeutics for the treatment of rare, genetic diseases. The company’s first commercial product, FDA-approved March 26th, 2025 is an oral treatment for hyperphagia in adults and children 4 years of age and older with Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS). www.soleno.life

Employment History

My career in the Biopharmaceutical industry began after graduation from Seattle University and I have held sales, marketing, training and account management positions. I have dedicated my career to therapeutics and cures including those related to HIV/AIDS, PREP, Hepatitis, severe mental illnesses and pediatric rare & orphan diseases. Companies included those dedicated to new scientific innovations, drug repurposing, and repositioning.

Education

I graduated from Albers School of Business and Economics in 1991 with an emphasis on Marketing. I credit my education and years spent at Seattle University for my foundation of leadership, stewardship, and compassion. I am inspired by the value of interpersonal relationships within the healthcare field and working to make positive impact for the future.

Mentoring Objectives & Scope

Mentoring to me involves many aspects of personal, professional and spiritual growth. I approach Mentoring with the core values of Integrity, teamwork, accountability and excellence to form the foundation of success. Gaining an understanding of what motivates a person and what they do well are areas of strength. Seeking our authentic selves is vital to defining success in many aspects of our lives.

When and where do you hold meetings with your students?

Afternoons during the week and/or some weekend days. On campus locations w/guest WIFI access for me. Starbucks on 12th or another coffeehouse/casual restaurant near campus. Open to other locations where students feel comfortable and safe.

Additional Information

I am a person who has benefited greatly from professional mentors throughout my career. Through formal mentoring programs, professors, managers, leaders within the community and incredible individuals who I have met along the path of life. I love connecting people, embracing talents and uncovering new ideas for professional and personal growth. I work well in teams and leading by example. Compassion and respect for everyone in our communities are of great importance to me.
