Jones Progress Awards Eligibility

The Jones Progress Awards are an extraordinary business accelerator that helps equip alumni entrepreneurs with the tools, network, funds, and confidence to take their business to the next level. To be eligible for the Jones Progress Awards, the applicant needs to fulfill the following requirements: 

  • The founder can be a student or alum from any Seattle University major or program across campus.
  • The founder does not need to have gone through the annual Harriet Stephenson Business Plan Competition.
  • The founder must complete a comprehensive application and interview with the Jones Progress Award’s steering committee.
  • The founding team must be coachable and willing to commit to the full program. All meetings must be attended, without exception.
  • Have at least one of the founding team members  working the equivalent of full-time on the business (i.e. it is more than a “hobby”)
  • Be committed to going to the next growth stage and already have the resources required to operate through completion of the program
  • Have a product offering that is past the proof-of-concept stage
  • Be generating some revenue or having some traction with customers
