Shannon Britton

Shannon Britton, employed with SU since 2009, is Assistant Director for Grounds and Waste Management in Facilities at Seattle University. Shannon is a graduate of SU School of Theology and Ministry and received her M.A. in Transformational Leadership 2019. Her work supports inclusive access to campus organic gardens, recycling and sustainability for the university. She fosters and promotes these initiatives with her teams that include gardeners, athletic fields specialists, recycling and student employees.

Shannon’s work encompasses integral ecology that provides an open invitation for campus communities to deepen personal and group connections in the naturalized environment. Emphasizing connection with spirit through nature is core to who she is and fundamental to her belief in what is needed most in the world.
