Center for Jesuit Education

The Center for Jesuit Education (CJE) serves as a resource for students, staff, faculty, and administrators across the Seattle University community. We provide learning opportunities and consultation in guiding how to understand our Jesuit Catholic mission and create an Ignatian campus culture where the mission is integrated into the work of teaching, learning, research, decision-making, administration, community engagement, justice, student formation, and leadership development.

The CJE is happy to work with you to explore SU’s Jesuit Catholic mission and the many ways it is animated within and outside the classroom.  Please connect with us in any of the following ways:  

  • Participate in our programs. We have many great opportunities for you to learn about our Jesuit educational mission. See more at “What We Offer.” 
  • Receive pastoral support or spiritual accompaniment. We are trained as a pastoral listener or spiritual director, ready to accompany you as you discern professional or personal challenges. Please visit Campus Ministry, or contact Andrea Fontana, or Jen Tilghman-Havens to set up a time to meet.  
  • Utilize the CJE Videos or Other Resources on our website or in our lending library (Loyola 209), for inspiration for your teaching and learning, in or outside of the classroom.
  • Access a recent  Soul Sessions meditation to use in your personal practice, in the classroom, or within your work.
