Change Makers

The Change Makers program supports the transition from high school to post-secondary life, emphasizing academic support and personal awareness.

About the High School Change Makers cohort:

  • We support up to 10 scholars per grade at Garfield High School.
  • We focus on community building, academic readiness and group-identified interests.
  • The goal is for our scholars to feel encouraged to use their innate power as civically engaged leaders who graduate on time with a path to college and/or a career.
  • Scholars work with Seattle University student mentors to achieve these goals.

Tutoring

Afterschool drop-in tutoring happens twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:40 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Garfield High School library. Students from Seattle University are available to support scholars with homework, test prep and more!
