RISE Student Positions
RISE - Read, Inspire, Support, Educate - places Seattle University students in local PreK classrooms to guide social-emotional learning and kindergarten readiness.

Step 1:
RISE Explained
RISE members implement the RISE curriculum in preschool classrooms in Central and South Seattle. Members serve on a team with peers and work directly with local Early Learning Site Manager Sarah Hernandez-Torres for training, session planning and leadership development. The goal of RISE is to support children in building skills at an early age, including language, literacy, and social-emotional tools for kindergarten readiness.
RISE members allows programs to reduce the student-to-teacher ratio to 3:1 in almost every Jumpstart classroom, enabling children to receive an individualized learning experience and develop nurturing relationships with caring adults.
