Biography
Emily Rigsby (known by many as Rigs) is a queer, first-generation college graduate from Boise, Idaho. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Music from Whitman College in 2020 and moved to Seattle the following year. Currently, Rigs is pursuing a Master’s in Student Development Administration at Seattle University.
Her professional philosophy centers on equity and access in higher education, with a commitment to supporting students from all backgrounds and meeting them where they are at. She is especially passionate about sharing resources and creating pathways that make the college experience more inclusive and accessible.
Outside of her academic and professional work, Rigs enjoys hosting dinner parties, biking through the San Juan Islands, reading graphic novels, and traveling throughout the Pacific Northwest.
