College of Education Joins CPED
Seattle University College of Education will join the Carnegie Project on the Education Doctorate (CPED), a Consortium of more than 80 colleges and schools of education working together to redesign all aspects of the professional practice doctorate in education known as the Ed.D.

New Undergraduate Program Offers Elementary Education K-8 Certification and ELL Endorsement
Beginning in Fall 2016, the College of Arts and Sciences and the College of Education are partnering to offer a new specialization in elementary education in the Interdisciplinary Liberal Studies bachelor of arts degree. Students in the four-year program will obtain a BA in interdisciplinary liberal studies along with a teaching credential in K-8 (elementary education) and an ELL endorsement.
