Dr. Mason M. Moore will also serve as Chief of Staff for the provost.
With more than two decades of leadership experience across higher ed, government and nonprofits, Dr. Mason M. Moore has joined Seattle University as Associate Provost and Chief of Staff in the Office of the Provost.

Throughout his career, Dr. Moore has had numerous chiefs of staff and executive officer roles, providing trusted counsel to senior leaders, coordinating across diverse stakeholders and leading large-scale organizational initiatives. He has held faculty appointments at Grambling State University, the American Institute of Applied Sciences in Switzerland and the University of Maryland Global Campus. To this role as Associate Provost and Chief of Staff at SU he brings experience as a former academic department chair and elected member of Grambling State’s faculty senate.
Dr. Moore will serve as a key partner in coordinating initiatives across Academic and Student Affairs, strengthening communication and collaboration across the campus community and supporting the implementation of strategic priorities. His experience navigating complex institutions and commitment to higher education will help advance Seattle University’s mission.

Dr. Moore holds a BA in Liberal Studies from California State University, Fresno, an MSA in Public Administration from Central Michigan University and an EdD in Student Development and Personnel Services from Grambling State University.
