Princeton Review highlights university in list of ‘Best Value Colleges” in the nation.
The Princeton Review and U.S. News & World Report agree: Seattle University provides some of the best value of any college in America.
SU made the list of The Princeton Review’s 2027 “Best Value Colleges” in the U.S. This comes on the heels of U.S. News & World Report ranking Seattle University the best value college in Washington state among national universities, for the third consecutive year.
The Princeton Review, which does not rank universities in numerical order, considers three features at an institution:
- Stellar academics
- Affordable cost (including financial aid and general tuition cost)
- Strong career prospects for graduates
“Students who attend these schools don’t have to mortgage their futures to pay for their degrees—and we believe they will graduate with great career prospects,” the publication states.
The list was determined using data from fall 2025 through spring 2026 via institutional and student surveys and from the U.S. Department of Education College Scorecard’s career and salary statistics. Overall, more than 40 data points were considered that included academics, costs, financial aid, debt, grad rates and career/salary data.
The Princeton Review previously listed Seattle University on its “Best West,” “Best Green” and “Best Overall” college lists.
