Anthropology & Sociology Transfer Guide

How to transfer and obtain a Bachelor of Arts, Anthropology & Sociology, at Seattle University.

About this Degree

Through the study of social and cultural analysis, you’ll gain the tools and perspectives to better understand—and help transform—the world around you.

Our Anthropology and Sociology program invites you to engage critically and compassionately with pressing global and local issues. Drawing on our faculty’s diverse expertise and lived experience, you’ll explore topics such as social change, inequality, community organizing, gentrification, food justice, and transformative practice.

You can also take courses in Asian and Native American studies, evolution, climate change, and religion, all rooted in an intersectional framework that examines how identities and systems of power shape human experience.

With small classes and dedicated faculty mentors who are deeply committed to student success, you’ll learn to analyze complex social dynamics, build community connections, and apply your knowledge toward creating a more just and sustainable world.
