About this Degree
The Design program offers a uniquely holistic approach grounded in both academic and practical skills, all underscored by our commitment to sustainability and social justice. Within our broadly informed curriculum, you will explore typography, digital imaging, digital media for print, graphic design, motion graphics and web design— including user experience and interface design. Both in and outside the classroom, you will combine theory and practice informed by readings, discussions and research as you hone your skills and abilities through internships, in-depth critiques and hands-on workshops within a sophisticated and cutting-edge studio environment.

- Fall Quarter (priority): March 1
- Fall Quarter (final): August 1
- Winter Quarter (January start): November 1
- Spring Quarter (March start): February 15
Degrees offered: BA, BA with departmental honors
