This program’s course curriculum is designed to enhance your knowledge of cybersecurity while providing foundational leadership skills. Become a well-rounded cybersecurity leader through courses such as Enterprise Cybersecurity Leadership and Technology; AI and Quantum Cybersecurity; and Network and Cloud Information Systems Security.

Graduates of this program will demonstrate: 

• An effective cybersecurity mindset, able to proactively call out digital risk and identify effective technical and non-technical mitigation measures that can ensure businesses and people continue to thrive. 

• Business acumen capable of formulating security programs and services by justifying, developing, forming, budgeting and implementing cybersecurity departments, projects and teams.  

• Strong cyber-ethical awareness and readiness to identify and manage extant and emerging challenges as technological innovation changes the exposure, relationships and societal landscape in which we all live. 

• Empowered interdisciplinary capability that can drive towards technical solutions, legal resolutions, regulatory compliance, incident response and staff resilience in the face of persistent and evolving threats. 

• A vision of cybersecurity readiness that can inspire strong organizational cybersecurity culture, guide executive prioritization and preparation, inspire technical teams to readiness and lead prepared teams through disruptive events with compassion and rigor. 

• A technical depth of understanding that ensures that the teams doing coding, cyber defense, and systems security are heard, understood, and empowered.  Ensure that this insight leads to guiding an organization’s critical technology, policy, and architectural choices, based on an understanding of actual system capabilities, configuration implications and policy outcomes. 

• A self-reflective approach to cybersecurity leadership, ensuring that critical thinking, continuous learning, disciplinary knowledge and solid research are used to lead people, teams, and organizations to cyber resilience. 

• An effective portfolio of communications skills that enable persuasive interaction with C-suite level, employees, technical staff, the public, and partnering organizations. This includes the ability to engage clearly, persuasively and with the ability to decipher technical jargon into the language needed by the listener.
