Admissions

• Complete the free online graduate application
•  Provide a professional résumé
  • A one to two page document that includes up to date academic records, volunteer work and/or professional experience. 
     

• Your statement of purpose (3 pages maximum) should outline your background (personal, academic, etc.), interests and goals for the Master's in Criminal Justice program. 

A writing sample is optional.

• Writing samples could be: 
  • An undergraduate paper 
  • Research and/or published work 
  • Writing related to your current profession 
  • A new sample written for this application

• One letter of recommendation is required. 
• You may submit up to 2 letters of recommendation.
• When choosing recommenders: 
  • Consider employers, supervisors or mentors who are familiar with your work. 
  • Do not choose family members or friends. 

• A four-year bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution. 
• Completion of or enrollment in an introductory statistics course with 'C' grade or better, prior to the start of the program.
  • Exceptions considered on an individual basis. 
• Meets the minimum 3.0 GPA requirement that is calculated with bachelor's degree work, as well and credits completed post-graduation.  
• Submit official transcripts either electronically or mail directly to Graduate Admission
