While on-campus housing is optional for graduate and law students, we are proud to offer a number of housing options each year in four distinct residential communities. Explore your options below, starting with our most popular and law and graduate-focused residence, the Murphy Apartments.
First Hill Campus Options
Murphy Apartments: Your Graduate & Law Student Community
The Murphy Apartments are the premier on-campus housing option for graduate and law students at Seattle University. Located in a quiet, secure area of campus, Murphy offers a variety of apartment styles across five unique buildings:
- Dorothy Day House (MADY) – exclusively for graduate and law students
- Peter Claver House (MACL)
- Tekakwitha House (MATK)
- Hopkins House (MAHP)
- Grande House (MAGR)
Apartment Types Available:
- Single Studios – Private studio with kitchen and furnishings
- Studio Doubles – Shared studio for two, with full kitchen
- One-Bedroom Single – Spacious one-bedroom for one person
- One-Bedroom Double – Larger one-bedroom for two people
- Townhouse – Two-bedroom, multi-level unit for two individuals
- Quad – Four-bedroom, single-floor unit with shared common areas

The Douglas: Independent Living with Campus Convenience
