Stephen Sundborg, S.J., retired in June 2021 after 24 years as Seattle U’s president. SU’s longest serving president, Father Steve—as he is fondly known—led the university through many of its most pivotal and defining moments of transformation and innovation.
"This is uncharted territory, but we are all doing the best we can," said Peñalver, who will be president of Seattle University.
