Cadet outsideGetting ready for Advanced Camp (CST) is huge, and I want to make sure I'm prepared for whatever comes my way. I'm readying myself in these areas:

1.     Physical Fitness: I've been hitting the gym regularly, focusing on cardio, strength training, and endurance exercises to meet and try to exceed the Army's fitness standards.

2.     Leadership Skills: I'm taking every opportunity to practice my leadership skills. Whether it's leading being a team leader for Bravo team or seeking out leadership roles in other activities, I'm honing my decision-making, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

3.     Land Navigation: I've been spending a lot of time practicing land navigation skills using maps and compasses. I'm confident in my ability to read terrain and find my way around.

4.     Field Training Exercises (FTX): I've been brushing up on my tactics, learning how to be PSG/PL or a good squad leader, and knowing the ranger handbook thoroughly. I know these skills will be vital at Advanced Camp.

5.     Study and Preparation: I'm studying all the materials provided by my peers, from field manuals to instructional videos. I want to make sure I am prepared for the summer.

6.     Attitude and Adaptability:  I'm maintaining a positive attitude and staying flexible and adaptable. I know that things won't always go according to plan, but I'm ready to face whatever comes my way with determination and a can-do attitude.

With this detailed preparation, I'm confident that I'll be able to tackle my Advanced Camp in Fort Knox. I'm excited to put my skills to the test and prove myself as a capable leader and soldier.
