Jean Jacoby Outstanding ENSC Senior Award 

The Jean Jacoby Outstanding ENSC Senior award is given to a graduating Environmental Science student who demonstrates enthusiasm and a deep desire for using the scientific method to understand and sustainably manage environmental systems. The award recognizes excellence in coursework, research, and experiences beyond the classroom.  It is named after Dr. Jean Jacoby, one of the first environmental science faculty members at SU. Dr. Jacoby joined the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering in 1991 before serving as associate dean of the College of Science and Engineering from 2007-2022 and the director of the Project Center from 2010-2022. Dr. Jacoby’s research focused on limnology and watershed protection.
