Fall Welcome
This event series consists of engagement opportunities for an exciting transition experience. Fall Welcome includes Seattle University traditions, Orientation Groups, social events, activities and community meals.

Fall Welcome is a weeklong series of events includes campus traditions, academic ceremonies, orientation groups, and social activities. Review the flyer below to see which specific events are required for students to attend and which are optional. An updated flyer with 2026 dates and time will be released later in the summer.
Parents, families, and supporters are invited to join us for our Resource Fair, Family Hospitality Area, and Fall Welcome Kickoff before departing campus.

* Required for:
- New First-Year Students (residential and commuter)
- New Transfer Students living in on-campus housing.
New Transfer Students living off campus are required to attend New Student Convocation and Academic Convenings.

SEATTLE UNIVERSITY ORIENTATION APP
The Orientation App is the home of the complete Fall Welcome schedule. By using our App, you will have access to all event times, locations, and descriptions, as well as transition support resources readily available in one place whenever you need them! Our App is free to download and use. Families and supporters can also view the schedule and resources. We will inform you of any last-minute reminders or schedule changes with app notifications.

Fall Welcome - Frequently Asked Questions
The following groups are required to participate in events noted with an asterisk (*) on the schedule.
- All new First-Year Students
- New Transfer Students who are living in on-campus housing.
New Student Convocation and School and College Convenings are required for all new students.
No! Fall Welcome is included as part of your transition to Seattle University and we plan for all new students to participate.
To align with Seattle University’s sustainability efforts, we do not print individual copies of our schedule. However, Fall Welcome event schedule posters will be placed around campus.

- We ask that families depart campus after the Kickoff as all other Fall Welcome programming is only for students.
