Bill McNamara

Bill McNamara, Campus Minister for Liturgy at Seattle University, grew up in Queens, NY and completed a Bachelor of Arts in Theology at Georgetown University and a Master of Divinity degree at the Jesuit School of Theology at Berkeley. Bill has ministered at a retreat center in Cincinnati, OH, and at Catholic parishes in Enumclaw, WA, Oakland, CA, and Bellevue, WA before starting at Seattle U in 2007. Bill and his spouse have two children. Bill enjoys traveling, hiking, journaling, and anything to do with the preparation and sharing of good food. He plays piano and has sung with both the SU Choirs and the Seattle Men’s Chorus. Bill has loved Catholic liturgy and liturgical music for as long as he can remember, and enjoys accompanying students as they discover connections between music, spirituality, community, and their lives.
