Resident Campus Ministers

Marissa Robledo was born and raised in California. She earned her undergraduate degree from San Diego State University and her master's degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. At Seattle University, she serves as the Associate Director for the Center for Student Involvement - working directly with leadership programming and student government. In addition to her role, Marissa has the privilege of serving as the Resident Minister in Chardin Hall. Marissa is passionate about working with students, being a small part of their educational journey and she truly excited for the opportunity to build community with them.

I have been at SU for 23 years. Before joining the faculty in the Albers School of Business and Economics, I practiced Law first in Philadelphia then in Seattle. I teach business law negotiations, and law and data analytics. I have also served as an administrator in the enrollment division and am currently the Director of the MBA in Sport and Entertainment Management in Albers. I graduated as an undergraduate from Boston College and feel very much at home working at a Jesuit university. I love teaching! I invest myself in my relationships with my undergraduate and graduate students, staying close with many of them after graduation. I was raised catholic, but my faith is really connected more to indigenous spirituality and wisdom. I am a part-time yoga teacher when I am not immersed at SU and love to share what I have learned in the yoga/mindfulness world with students. I have three boys of my own. One is a graduate and working in Chicago. My twins are seniors in College in Southern California. I also have two stepdaughters in college and graduate school in Philadelphia, and a stepson who hopes to attend SU next year as a freshman. Big family spanning from coast to coast. I am excited to engage with the students as a Resident Minister! You will find me in Campion Hall.

Deanne was born in the Philippines and raised in the Bay Area. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Communication Studies at Westmont College and is also a proud Redhawk Alum having received her Master's degree at SU in Student Development Administration. She is passionate about connection and community so that everyone belongs. Having worked in Housing and Residence Life at SU, and now serving as Associate Director of Student Success and Outreach, Deanne remains committed to the Jesuit values of Cura Personalis and creating pockets of joy around campus. When not working, you can find her wandering around campus with her wiener dog pal, Rolo.

Marissa was born and raised in Managua, Nicaragua. She received her undergraduate from Central American University in Managua. She earned a Fulbright scholarship for her Master's degree at the University of Kentucky. At Seattle U, she is a Fulbright visiting scholars in the department of International Studies and Resident Minister at Xavier Hall. Marissa is excited for the intercultural experience to teach and support students at Seattle U
