To make an appointment with CAPS counselors for short-term teletherapy, call our office at (206)-296-6090. The process takes about 10 minutes, and our services are free of charge for students.

For ongoing, continuous therapy please email us at caps@seattleu.edu and we can assist you with finding therapists off-campus.

Due to the Coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic, CAPS is providing remote teletherapy and referral services to enrolled students. CAPS can assist SU students with identifying resources and services that best fit each student’s unique circumstance.

Connect with a counselor at 1-800-985-5990 or by texting TalkWithUS to 66746. The Disaster Distress Helpline, 1-800-985-5990, provides immediate crisis counseling to people affected by the coronavirus pandemic.  Interpretation also available in over 100 other languages.

 

Recent Updates

988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline Number Active

988 is now active across the United States. This new, shorter phone number will make it easier for people to remember and access mental health crisis services. Persons can call or text the number, and can chat online at 988lifeline.org 

In addition, the previous 1-800-273-8255 (TALK) number will continue to function indefinitely.
