Except during holidays and other university closures, Exempt, DNP, and Expedited applications -- all now submitted via the SU OneAegis system -- are reviewed on a rolling basis throughout the calendar year. This level of review can take 1-3 weeks, so please plan accordingly.
Also, please note that if you submit an application as "Exempt" that we then judge to be Expedited or Full-Board, this slows down the review process. If you notice that your submission was assigned a "FY2024-###" code within OneAegis, that means it was formally categorized as Expedited or Full-Board and went out for review.
PIs must submit Full-Board protocols by 5 p.m. on the Friday three weeks before convened board meetings via the SU OneAegis system. Applications submitted after 5 p.m. will be processed/reviewed for the subsequent month meeting. No exceptions.

The IRB invites PIs (and faculty advisers) to attend a portion of the Full-Board meeting to answer questions and provide clarifications that the Board may need. This process, which is framed as a conversational opportunity, allows the review process to proceed more swiftly and facilitates a faster determination.
