Develop New Skills & Make New Friends
Our campus clubs and organizations are as diverse as our student body. Student-run clubs are fun and meaningful ways to connect with your classmates, hallmates, or others you haven’t had the chance of meeting yet! You can find clubs that fit your hobbies or interests, as well as clubs that develop your leadership skills.
Clubs include intramural sports, professional organizations, government and more.
Hear from Our Students
Isabelle Alamilla, Student Government of Seattle U
“Being a student here at Seattle University has honestly changed my life for the better. This campus and this community have been my home away from home, and I truly would not be the person I am today without the experiences I have gained by being a Redhawk. I can't imagine having my college experience anywhere else.”
Graduation Date: June 2025
University-Sponsored Student Organizations
Every official Seattle University club and organization has a faculty adviser and goes through an approval process. But not every club is sponsored by the university. The organizations in this list are university sponsored because they serve a special governmental, campus-wide or strategic purpose.
Graduate Student Council
The mission of the Graduate Student Council is to improve the graduate student experience at Seattle University. The council achieves this by communicating the needs and ideas of the graduate student body to the University.
Ignation Leaders
The Ignation Leaders are a cohort of approximately 12 students selected in recognition of their demonstrated academic, personal and spiritual integration. These are some of our best and brightest at Seattle University.
RedhawkTHON
RedhawkTHON is Seattle University's Dance Marathon (SUDM). This student-led organization benefits Seattle Children's Hospital's Uncompensated Care Fund. Through the Uncompensated Care Fund, SUDM provides free lifesaving health care to patients at Seattle Children's who otherwise would not be able to afford care.
Redzone
Redzone is an organization run by students, for students and is the acknowledged school spirit group of Seattle University. We organize a unified spirit of support for Seattle University athletic events. We bring a rowdy, passionate and unified atmosphere to each event. We aim to create a community founded on Redhawk spirit and passion for Seattle University.
Student Events & Activities Council
Student Events and Activities (SEAC) is the main programming board for Seattle University. SEAC is completely student-run and consists of 4 executive board members, 9 programmers, 2 creative markers, and 2 graphic designers. Together, SEAC plans over 30 events for the student body each year. SEAC’s trademark events include the 90s Dance, Jet City Improv, Fall Ball, Battle of the Bands, Quadstock and regular programs in the city of Seattle.
Student Government of Seattle University
As the elected representation of the Seattle University undergraduate student body, the Student Government of Seattle University (SGSU) communicates with students regarding their collective and constituent interests, promotes opportunities for student leadership and involvement, assists in the development of a cohesive undergraduate community and provides the undergraduate community with political and financial support.
