1. Visit Modern Languages to speak to French-in France and Africa or Latin American Studies Program Faculty

2. Once accepted through Modern Languages, complete the SU Faculty-led Application 

3. Complete Required Pre-Departure Paperwork

  • French and Spanish languages courses have already been approved. If you wish to get your courses count for other majors (International Studies, University Core, etc.), then you will complete the Course Approval Form.

The Pre-Departure Orientation is currently Online. Students will be enrolled into a Canvas course and to complete the Online modules.  This Orientation is MANDATORY.

• Confirm with EAO that all information required has been submitted by the established deadlines

6. Go Abroad!

• Students on SU Faculty-Led programs will be automatically enrolled into Student Insurance Coverage
• Helpful resources to prepare for departure

  • Required if going on any internship in which you will be earning SU credit and will be gone for three weeks or more.

• EAO will notify the Program Provider of your nomination to participate in the selected SU-Sponsored program
• Students are encouraged to apply directly to the SU Sponsored program immediately after being nominated by Seattle University.
• Nomination does not guarantee placement. Please adhere to program deadlines. Popular programs may fill up quickly.
