Personal Bio

Diane Lockwood was appointed to the full-time faculty at SU in 1981. Prior to that she worked in private industry within the U.S. auto industry and for a management consulting firm in the areas of IT, strategic planning, business process reengineering, and operations. She teaches primarily in the areas of IT Strategy (i.e., what every business executive should know about IT). Her research interests include information technology strategy, operations, and x-disciplinary work in global IT. Dr. Lockwood’s publications have appeared in such journals as International Journal of Production Research, Industrial Management and Data Systems, Journal of Computer Information Systems Journal of Managerial Issues (JMI), Journal of the International Academy for Case Studies, and Academy of Educational Leadership Journal. She has served on local boards of directors for Operation Improvement, and the Society for Information Management, Puget Sound chapter. In her free time she enjoys deep sea fishing, rock hounding, and walking her dogs.
